Strand Arcade Pharmacy was founded in 1969 and served the mid-town region of Auckland central for 41 years. The domain name, strandarcadepharmacy.co.nz was registered in 2002 and not long after began offering New Zealand health and beauty products online.

Belmont Pharmacy acquired the web site business of Strand Arcade Pharmacy after the pharmacy lease expired.
